Since launching on May 28th, The Bottle Cap Initiative has been diligently collecting bottle caps and updating our progress bi-weekly. We partnered with just 11 bars and restaurants, and our commitment to transparency and dedication was unwavering. We have concluded our process with the following results.
In conclusion of our experiment we managed to successfully divert 85 pounds and 1 ounces of material from landfills and oceans, amounting to 19,054 individual caps.
Considering the vast number of establishments across all 50 states, the potential annual impact is monumental, potentially diverting millions of pounds of waste from our landfills and oceans every year. We hope that others will continue on our path, and together and work towards a future where even the small things need to be considered, and disposed of properly.
This Data was gathered from willing and active participants, and the Data gathered is a reflection of a real global problem at hand.
